The Saniflo Sanipit 24 GR (part no. 053) is a pre-assembled retrofit grinder pump kit that drops into most existing 24" diameter sewage ejector basins, including basins from Liberty Pumps, Zoeller and Myers, to replace a failing conventional sewage ejector without breaking out the basin. The kit replaces the cover, pump and float switches with a single insert: a 1 HP oil-filled grinder pump with a stainless steel blade, mounted in a dry cavity, and a fail-proof air pressure switch system with triple redundancy in place of floats that hang up or foul. It pumps up to 25 feet vertically or up to 328 feet horizontally through a 2" discharge, delivering 29 GPM at 25 feet and up to 66 GPM at 3 feet (33 ft shut-off head), and handles black and gray water from a whole basement or building. Pump on/off levels are 7-3/4" and 3-1/4"; the basin it serves holds about 21 gallons (80 L). Venting is 2". Everything that needs attention, motor, grinder blade and pressure switches, is reachable from the top; a contractor can swap the pressure switches in about ten minutes. The kit includes an external IP68 control box with a visual and audible alarm.
