A 6' x 6' sheet of lead. A square sheet suits a square shower or wet area, giving equal coverage in both directions with the upstand allowance built in. Lead is formed cold, so the corners and the drain penetration are worked from the same continuous sheet rather than being made up from separate pieces and joints.
