Description

A Weil-McLain 383500125 outdoor temperature sensor, the manufacturer's own part. It feeds the outdoor reset function: the control reads the outside temperature and lowers the boiler's target water temperature in milder weather, which cuts fuel use and stops the short cycling that comes from running flat out when the building barely needs heat. Mount it on a shaded wall away from any warm exhaust, or it reports a temperature the building is not experiencing.
