Description

An OCS CE 640 copper convector element with brass headers: 6" nominal depth, 40" nominal length, rated at 40.0 square feet EDR - about 9,600 BTU/hr on steam at 240 BTU per square foot, or roughly 6,000 BTU/hr on hot water. A long element for a room with real heat loss, or a wall with a lot of glazing. Copper carries heat away from the water faster than steel, so a copper element gives more output than a steel one of the same size - CE 640 is rated well above the equivalent SE 640. The tube is 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD copper with brass headers tapped 3/4" and a 1/4" plug; the element measures 5-3/4" deep and 2" high, and 39.75" end to end. Approximate weight 6 lb.
