Description

An OCS CE 452 copper convector element with brass headers: 4" nominal depth, 52" nominal length, rated at 37.0 square feet EDR - about 8,880 BTU/hr on steam at 240 BTU per square foot, or roughly 5,550 BTU/hr on hot water. One of the longest made, for large or heavily glazed rooms that would otherwise need two elements to meet the load. Copper carries heat away from the water faster than steel, so a copper element gives more output than a steel one of the same size - CE 452 is rated well above the equivalent SE 452. The tube is 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD copper with brass headers tapped 3/4" and a 1/4" plug; the element measures 3-3/4" deep and 2" high, and 51.75" end to end. Approximate weight 4.25 lb.
