Description

An OCS CE 448 copper convector element with brass headers: 4" nominal depth, 48" nominal length, rated at 34.0 square feet EDR - about 8,160 BTU/hr on steam at 240 BTU per square foot, or roughly 5,100 BTU/hr on hot water. A long element for a room with real heat loss, or a wall with a lot of glazing. Copper carries heat away from the water faster than steel, so a copper element gives more output than a steel one of the same size - CE 448 is rated well above the equivalent SE 448. The tube is 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD copper with brass headers tapped 3/4" and a 1/4" plug; the element measures 3-3/4" deep and 2" high, and 47.75" end to end. Approximate weight 4 lb.
