Description

A 4" service weight cast iron sanitary tee, domestic manufacture. A sanitary tee has a curved branch that turns the incoming waste downward into the run, which is why it is the correct fitting for a horizontal branch entering a vertical stack. It must not be used to take a horizontal branch into a horizontal run - in that position the curve works against the flow and the branch backs up.
