A 3/8" x 1/2" flare male adapter. The 3/8" flare is the common size on appliance and control connections, stepping out here to a 1/2" male thread. Getting a flare joint right is about the flare itself rather than the fitting: it must be formed square, to full diameter, and free of splits, or no amount of tightening will seat it.
