Description

A 1/4" fender washer. The large outside diameter relative to the hole is the whole point: it spreads the load of a fastener over a much wider area, which is what stops the head pulling through sheet metal, thin panel or soft material. On mechanical work they turn up wherever something is fixed through a cover, jacket or thin bracket.
