An InSinkErator garbage disposal, 3/4 HP. The motor rating is the thing that matters in practice: a 3/4 HP unit grinds finer and jams far less often than a small builder-grade disposer, and finer grind means less material left to settle in the branch drain. Fitted to the sink outlet in place of a strainer, with the waste connection reworked to suit. Needs a switched electrical supply and enough clearance under the bowl.
