A 1/4" compression nut. The nut is what draws the ferrule onto the tube to make a compression joint, and it is the part that usually gets damaged or lost when a connection is broken. Replacing the nut and ferrule together is the reliable repair - a reused ferrule that has already been compressed rarely reseals properly on a second make-up.
