A 1/2" Uponor ProPEX ring with stop. The ProPEX method is unlike any other PEX connection: the tubing and the ring are expanded together, then the fitting is inserted and the material shrinks back onto it, so the joint is made by the tubing's own memory rather than by a crimp or a clamp. The stop is a practical detail — it positions the ring correctly on the tube so the joint is made in the right place every time.
