Description

An OCS SE 464 steel convector element: 4" high, 64" nominal length, rated at 43.0 square feet EDR. EDR is the figure to size against - one square foot is 240 BTU/hr on steam and roughly 150 BTU/hr on hot water, so this element carries about 10,320 BTU/hr on steam. One of the longest elements made, for large or heavily glazed rooms where a shorter element would have to be doubled up to meet the load. The element is the working part that goes inside a baseboard or convector enclosure: a steel tube with steel fins pressed onto it, so the water gives up its heat to air moving through the cover. Approximate weight 19.0 lb. Note that OCS elements are made 1/2" shorter than the nominal length, and can be squeezed to reduce the depth where an enclosure is tight.
