Description

A spill switch for atmospherically vented gas appliances. It mounts at the draft hood and senses flue gases rolling out into the room instead of going up the vent — the symptom of a blocked or downdrafting chimney. When it trips it shuts the burner down, so a venting fault stops the appliance rather than quietly spilling combustion products into the space. A standard safety item on water heater and boiler replacements.
