Description

An RB-122E low water cut-off. It is the safety device that stops a boiler firing when the water level falls below a safe point, and it exists to prevent dry firing — heating a boiler with insufficient water in it, which can crack the sections or the heat exchanger and destroy the boiler. On a steam or hot water system it is a required control, and it is tested and blown down as part of routine service.
