Description

A long pilot bit for use in the centre of a hole saw. The pilot does the aiming: it bites first and holds the saw on the mark so the teeth do not skate across the surface as they start to cut. The long version reaches through thicker material and deeper stock, and it stays engaged in the pilot hole when the saw is cutting through a built-up floor or a double thickness of plate.
