Description

A Honeywell L4006E1000 immersion aquastat with manual reset, adjustable over 130-270°F. The manual reset is the safety feature: when it trips, it stays tripped until somebody presses the button, so a boiler that has overheated cannot quietly cycle back on and do it again. That forces the underlying fault to be found rather than repeatedly reset by the control itself. Fitted in a well in the boiler so the sensing bulb reads water temperature directly.
