An OCS CE 420 copper convector element with brass headers: 4" nominal depth, 20" nominal length, rated at 12.5 square feet EDR - about 3,000 BTU/hr on steam at 240 BTU per square foot, or roughly 1,875 BTU/hr on hot water. The short elements suit a narrow run - a bathroom, a galley kitchen, or the space between a door and a corner. Copper carries heat away from the water faster than steel, so a copper element gives more output than a steel one of the same size - CE 420 is rated well above the equivalent SE 420. The tube is 1/2" ID, 5/8" OD copper with brass headers tapped 3/4" and a 1/4" plug; the element measures 3-3/4" deep and 2" high, and 19.75" end to end. Approximate weight 2.25 lb.
