A 6" service weight cast iron wye, domestic manufacture. At 6" this is stack and building drain work, where a branch is brought into a main run. The wye's shallow angle keeps the flow moving in one direction rather than letting it collide at the junction - the geometry that stops solids depositing at branch connections.
