Description

A 6" ductile iron blind cap. A blind cap closes the end of a run permanently - a main stubbed for future extension, or a branch taken out of service. On a pressurised main a cap has to be properly restrained: capping the end of a run creates a thrust that will push the pipe apart if nothing resists it.
