A 4' x 6' sheet of lead. In plumbing its main use is forming a shower pan: lead is worked cold into the corners and up the walls to make a continuous waterproof tray under the tile, with no joints to fail. It also serves for flashing and for sound and radiation shielding. This is the smallest of the common sizes, suiting a compact shower — allow for the upstand at every edge, not just the floor area.
