Description

A 4" Oatey Sure-Vent air admittance valve. It admits air to break the vacuum a discharge creates, without letting sewer gas back into the building - which is how a fixture or a stack can be vented where taking a vent pipe through the roof is impractical. The 4" size suits a stack rather than a single fixture. It must stay accessible and in a ventilated space, and local codes differ on where one may replace a conventional vent.
