A 3" ductile iron 90 degree elbow. A right angle on a pressurised main generates substantial thrust - the water tries to carry straight on and push the fitting off the pipe - so an elbow needs thrust blocks or restrained joints behind it. That is the detail most often underestimated on buried work, and it is what fails when a main blows apart at a bend.
