A 2" Apollo double check valve assembly. A DCVA protects the potable supply from back-siphonage and backflow by putting two independent check valves in series, so a single failure does not open a path back into the main. It is the assembly used where the hazard is non-health - a heating circuit or an irrigation line without chemical injection. Backflow assemblies must be installed accessible and tested annually.
