Description

A general-purpose abrasive hand pad of the 3M Scotch-Brite 7447 type, sold singly. Its main job on plumbing work is prepping copper: scuffing the last inch of tube and the inside of the fitting back to bright metal so flux and solder actually take. It also cleans up light corrosion on valve bodies and threads, and scours old sealant residue off a flange face without gouging it the way emery cloth or a file can.
