A 12 oz can of Red Devil firestop expanding foam. Foam is the form to reach for on the larger, awkward openings where a cartridge sealant would take forever and never fill the void — an oversized core hole, a gap around several pipes, or a penetration you cannot get a nozzle right into. It expands to fill the space and restores the rating of the assembly. Unlike ordinary expanding foam, this one is rated for use in fire-rated construction.
