The Liberty XLSG208M-2 is a 2 HP XLSG200-Series explosion-proof submersible grinder pump. Rated for Class 1, Division 1, Groups C and D T4 hazardous locations (Class 1, Zone 1, Groups IIA and IIB T4), for sewage applications needing a hazardous-location rating — groups of homes, commercial buildings, schools, lakefront developments, and high-pressure sewage systems. Its V-Slice cutter (440 hardened stainless steel cutter and plate) shreds wipes, disposable cleaning pads, rags, and other difficult solids ahead of a stainless steel impeller. It has a heavy Class 30 cast iron pump and motor housing, a 300-series stainless steel shaft, upper and lower ball bearings, dual mechanical seals (silicon carbide with Viton elastomers) with an integral seal-fail moisture-sensing probe, and 1-1/2" threads at the power cord for an optional conduit connection. Requires a Liberty ISS-Series (simplex) or ISD-Series (duplex) intrinsically safe control panel — not sold to run standalone. This single-phase model needs start/run capacitors and a start relay, housed in the control panel (capacitor kit sold separately). Wired for single-phase power at 200V, with a 25' power cord. 1-1/4" discharge. Rated 104°F continuous duty. Shipping weight approximately 123 lb.
