A Honeywell DR65A3000 whole-house dehumidifier. Unlike a portable unit emptying into a bucket, this ties into the ductwork and drains away, so it treats the whole house continuously without anyone attending to it. Damp basements and humid summers are the usual reasons it gets specified — persistent high humidity causes mould, musty smells and condensation on cold surfaces including pipework. The DR65 is the smaller of the two capacities in this range.
