Description

A 2 lb tub of Duck Butter pipe joint lubricant. It is a water-soluble soft paste used when assembling pipe and fittings that seal on a rubber, synthetic rubber or plastic gasket - the gasket has to slide home rather than roll or drag, and dry assembly is what causes a rolled gasket and a joint that leaks from the day it is made. It contains no petroleum greases or silicones, so it will not swell gaskets, and it will not attack cast iron pipe. Certified to ANSI/NSF 61, so it is approved for potable water as well as DWV and sewer. It stays workable from 10F to 120F, is non-staining and odourless, and adheres to wet or dry surfaces.
