Description

An expansion tank. Model 1BN348LF. 8 gallon. Takes up the volume change as the system water heats, so pressure does not climb until the relief valve lifts. Confirm the model suits the service before fitting — potable and hydronic expansion tanks are built differently and are not interchangeable. Set the tank pre-charge to match system fill pressure — a tank charged wrong is a tank doing nothing.
