Description

A 7" barometric draft regulator. It hangs in the flue and admits room air automatically to hold the draft steady, because a chimney's natural draft varies with wind and outside temperature. Too much draft pulls heat straight up the flue and wastes fuel; too little causes poor combustion and spillage. The regulator evens that out, and it has to be set for the appliance rather than left as it comes out of the box.
