Description

A 4" vent damper. It closes the flue when the appliance is off, stopping heated air being drawn continuously up the chimney between burner cycles - which on an atmospherically vented appliance is a real standing loss. It must be interlocked with the control so the burner cannot fire until the damper has proved open, which is what the wiring harness does.
