Description
SCH 40 SOLVENT WELD PLAIN END It is solvent-welded: prime the pipe end and the fitting socket, apply PVC cement, and push the pipe fully home with a quarter turn, holding it for a moment while the joint sets. DWV fittings are for gravity drain, waste and vent lines and are not pressure rated; the sanitary pattern keeps waste moving toward the drain without pockets where it can settle.
