Description

A 2 inch adapter joining schedule 40 brass pipe to copper tube, with a plain sweat end rather than a thread. At 2 inch this is main or riser work, typically tying new copper into an existing brass installation during a refurbishment. Soldering a joint this size needs proper heat all the way round the socket before any solder is introduced, or it will bridge without wetting the metal.
