Description
The 2" PVC P-trap: holds a water seal that blocks sewer gas from entering through a drain. PVC DWV (drain-waste-vent) fitting conforming to ASTM D2665 and NSF/ANSI 14, material per ASTM D1784. The trap's water seal is what blocks sewer gas; it has to stay filled, so a rarely used fixture should be run now and then or fitted with a trap primer.
