Description

A 2 inch grooved coupling. Grooved systems join pipe by clamping a coupling into a groove rolled or cut into the pipe end, with a gasket inside making the seal. The whole joint is mechanical, so it assembles with hand tools, comes apart again for service, and needs no hot work - which is why grooved is standard on fire protection and on mechanical rooms where a welding permit would otherwise be required.
