Description

A 1-1/4" air scoop. Air trapped in a hydronic system collects at high points and stops circulation - the classic cause of a radiator or a whole zone that stays cold while the boiler runs happily. The scoop is fitted in the flow to slow the water and let entrained air rise out of it into a vent. Position matters: it belongs on the hot side of the boiler where air comes out of solution most readily.
