Description

A 1-1/2" dielectric union. It separates copper from steel so the galvanic cell that corrodes the steel cannot form. Worth noting that the union only works if it is actually isolating: a metal support strap bridging the two sides, or a bonding conductor across it, restores the electrical path and defeats the whole point of fitting one.
