Description
A gas-fired hot water boiler. Model TFTN285. Condensing: a secondary heat exchanger recovers the latent heat released as water vapour in the flue gas condenses, which is what puts condensing appliances at 90%+ AFUE. That only happens when return water is roughly 120-130°F or below, so the emitters have to suit it. The condensate is acidic and needs corrosion-resistant vent and a condensate drain.
